How long does acceptance usually take?


Most bookings are accepted within a few hours, but this can vary depending on:


  • The time of day and how much notice you've given.
  • Your location (major inner-city bookings are accepted faster than outer suburbs).
  • Weekend and public holiday demand.
  • Whether you've set a gender preference for the providers to be notified.


Steps to improve your chances of acceptance

Here are some steps you can take to improve your chance of getting your booking accepted by a provider near you:


  1. Check your gender preference. If you've selected "Female only" or "Male only", switching to "No preference" immediately opens your booking to more providers. Even switching it to “Female preferred” or “Male preferred” can make the availability a bit more flexible to notify the providers. You can update this in the Blys app under your booking details.   2. Switch to "Open booking" if you made a direct request. If you sent your request to a specific provider who hasn't responded, you can change it to an open booking so any available provider can accept.
  3. Check your booking time. Same-day bookings, especially in the evening, can take longer. If possible, extend your booking window or reschedule to a time with higher provider availability. If your provider has offered an alternate booking date or time, you can accept it as well, if it suits your schedule.
  4. Confirm your location details are correct. Make sure your address, parking information, and access notes are accurate and complete. Incomplete location details can deter providers.
