Your safety is our top priority. If you ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe during a booking, you have the right to leave, and Blys will support you in doing so.

Trust your instincts

You are never obligated to stay in a situation that feels unsafe, threatening, or inappropriate. Signs that a situation may be unsafe include:

  • The client refuses to communicate through normal channels (e.g. avoids the chat feature in the app).
  • The location or access instructions feel unusual or threatening.
  • The client is behaving in an intimidating, threatening, or inappropriate way.
  • The environment is not as described (e.g. a private residence rather than the listed location type)

What to do if you need to leave

  1. Leave immediately and safely. You don't need to explain yourself. Your physical safety comes first.
  2. If there is immediate danger, call emergency services (000 in AU, 911 in US, 999 in UK).
  3. Contact our support team through call, text, or email as soon as you are safe. This triggers our safety review process. Blys has a dedicated Trust & Safety Team consisting of ex-members of the police force and expert investigation officers who monitor and manage all safety matters 24/7. Our team responds to all safety matters within 24 hours. Read more about this in this article.
  4. Report the client through the Blys Pro app. You can check for the details on how to report a client here.

Abandonment fees and safety solutions

If you leave a booking because you genuinely felt unsafe, abandonment fees will not apply. Please contact us promptly after leaving so we can review the situation and ensure your payout is protected.

When you contact support, please include:

  • Your booking reference number.
  • A brief description of what happened and when you left.
  • Any screenshots or messages from the client if relevant

What happens next?

  • Blys will review the booking and your account will not be penalised for a legitimate safety exit.
  • We will investigate the client's behaviour and take appropriate action, which may include removing them from the platform.
  • Any charges that should not have been applied will be reversed

Before your booking (Prevention Tips)

  • Review the client's booking history and notes in the app before you travel.
  • Let someone you trust know your schedule and location.
