If a provider isn’t the right fit for one of your recipients, but you’re happy for them to keep working with your other recipients, you can block that provider for that recipient only. This keeps the provider available across the rest of your organisation.

Here’s how to block a provider for a recipient:

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Go to the “Recipients” tab and open the recipient’s profile.
  3. Find the provider you’d like to block in that recipient’s provider list.
  4. Select “Block for this recipient”.
  5. Confirm the block. You can add a reason to help us understand the request.

Once blocked, this provider will no longer be matched with bookings for that recipient, but will remain available for your other recipients under the same organisation.

If the provider already has an upcoming booking with that recipient, you’ll see a note about it before you confirm the block. Existing bookings are not automatically cancelled, so please contact us if you need help managing one.

To remove a block, go back to the recipient’s provider list and select “Unblock”. The provider will then be available for matching again immediately.

Note: this is separate from the automatic block that applies when a provider receives a 1 or 2 star rating from a recipient — that block also only affects the recipient who left the rating.
