How do I track the progress of my booking?

Tracking the progress


You can track the progress of your booking via the web and mobile app.

 

You will also receive a notification via email once your booking is confirmed, for bookings created via the web or via the app. 



Via app


  • When you place a booking via the Blys app the booking status will be 'Pending provider confirmation'. This means we have received your booking request and published it for available providers in your area to accept.
    • Below that you will be able to see the amount of providers notified for this booking. In the example below 3 providers are notified.



  • Once your booking has been accepted by an available provider the status will be updated to 'Confirmed'.
  • You will also receive a push notification on the Blys app about your booking confirmation. Please make sure that you have turned on to receive booking confirmation notifications from your communication preferences inside Settings. 
  • You can also visit How to update my communication preferences from my client app? to learn more about how you can set that up.


  • When your provider is on the way to your appointment, they will set the booking status to 'On the way' and you will receive another push notification to the Blys app.
  • 48 hours before the booking start time you will have the option to send a message using our 'Messages' feature available to your provider in case you have additional instructions that you want to share with them e.g. parking recommendations.




Via web


If your booking was created via phone call or the Blys website, you can log into your Blys web account and check the status of your booking.


  • When you place a booking via the Blys app the booking status will be 'Pending provider confirmation'. This means we have received your booking request and published it for available providers in your area to accept.
    • Below that you will be able to see the amount of providers notified for this booking. In the example below 2 providers are notified.





  • Once your booking has been accepted by an available provider the status will be updated to 'Confirmed'.
  • You will also receive an email from Blys app about your booking confirmation. Please make sure that you have turned on to receive booking confirmation notifications from your communication preferences inside Settings.

  • When your provider is on the way to your appointment, they will set the booking status to 'On the way'.




Understanding the status of your booking:

Pending provider confirmation

  • If your booking status is pending it means we have received your booking request and shared it with the available providers in your local area to accept. 
    • You will also be able to see the number of providers notified about your booking.
  • Cancelling the booking at this stage will not incur any fee as the card is not charged until the provider has accepted the booking and the booking is confirmed.


Confirmed

  • If your status is confirmed it means that your booking has been accepted by an available provider. All that's left for you to do is get ready to relax and wait for your provider to arrive.
  • Since the provider has accepted the booking, cancelling the booking at this stage will incur a fee as our client cancellation policy will be applied.


Pending payment 

  • If your booking status is Confirmed but it says 'Pending payment' it means that your booking was accepted by an available provider however, the payment needs to be settled. You need to settle the payment for your booking ASAP in order for it to go ahead and avoid cancellation. Please check What happens if my payment declines? for further information.
    • You can settle the payment by clicking on 'Make payment' button.
    • You will be able to add your payment methods if you haven't added any yet or simply select the payment method if you have already added them to settle the payment.




Completed

  • A booking completed status means that your booking is complete and the recipient received their treatment.


Cancelled

  • A booking cancelled status means that your booking is no longer available. This may be due to the account owner cancelling the booking manually which might incur a fee according to our client cancellation policy.
  • If there are no available providers in your area to accept the booking and if it was automatically cancelled no charge will be made to your account.
