The Support at Home (SaH) program categorises eligible supports into three main areas:
1. Clinical Supports
2. Independence Supports
3. Everyday Living Supports
1. Clinical Supports
These are health-related services delivered by qualified health or allied health professionals. They are fully funded under SaH, with no participant contribution required.
Examples include:
Nursing care (including specialised nursing interventions).
Allied health services such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and similar therapies aimed at maintaining or regaining physical, functional, or cognitive capacity to support independent living.
Assistive technology (AT) and home modifications approved as part of the SaH package to ensure safety and accessibility at home.
2. Independence Supports
These services assist individuals to maintain independence by addressing limitations in daily activities.
Examples include:
Personal care support – assistance with showering, dressing, and medication prompts.
Transport – when required to access services or supports.
Respite care or social support – providing a break for carers or support persons.
Therapeutic Services like Acupuncturist, Chiropractor, Diversional therapist, Remedial masseuse, Art therapist, Osteopath.
3. Everyday Living Supports
These supports help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment, allowing the individual to live well at home.
Examples include:
Domestic assistance – general cleaning, laundry, and shopping assistance.
Home maintenance and gardening – lawn mowing and minor repairs required for safe living.
Meal preparation or delivered meals – when necessary to ensure the person can live safely and independently at home.
Below is the list of services included and not included under the SaH program.
