Is it normal to feel a bit sore after a deep tissue / remedial massage?

It's completely normal to be sore after a deep tissue massage.

For your muscles, getting a deep-tissue massage is similar to experiencing a tough workout. They got stretched and manipulated during the session, and the massage increased blood circulation to your tight spots.

All this means is that you may experience a little soreness, but it should go away within 24-72 hours.

To help relieve soreness you can take hot showers, use heat packs on sore muscles,  do a bit of yoga or stretching, or take an Epsom salt bath.
